SECUREEDI Board of Trustees' Vince Dooley Delivers Keynote Address at 2007 Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting.

ATLANTA, G.A.,APRIL 24, 2007

Vince Dooley – the University of Georgia’s long-time head football coach and athletic director and member of the SecureEDI Board of Trustees – delivered the Keynote Address during the recent 95th Annual Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting held March 15-17, 2007 in Atlanta. He shared many inspirational stories about his years as head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs and shared with the thousands of dentists and dental professionals in attendance that as a young teen, the first $52 he ever earned paid for some much-needed dental work. Many of the Hinman attendees remarked how much they enjoyed his inspirational stories and humorous anecdotes.

“We were very excited to have Vince Dooley provide the Keynote Address this year. Everyone really enjoyed hearing about his experiences and quickly discovered what makes him the most successful coach in Georgia history,” said Dr. Richard Goodroe, general chairman of the 2007 Meeting and UGA alumnus. “I think everyone was genuinely impressed and really related to Vince’s stories; it made many of us recall our college days – regardless of whether we’re Bulldog fans or not.”
Following the Keynote Address, Coach Dooley helped Dr. Goodroe with the Grand Prize Drawing and picked a winning name from the tumbler to be the recipient of a new 2007 Pontiac Solstice.

More than 23,000 dental professionals attended the Hinman Dental Meeting this year to learn the latest in dentistry. An annual Atlanta tradition since 1911, the Hinman meeting is one of the largest dental meetings in the country and is hosted by the Hinman Dental Society, a study club and non-profit organization that contributes more than $250,000 annually in scholarships and gifts to colleges and universities located throughout the Southeast, as well as dental education groups and clinics.
