Biography
Severiano Lopez
Co-Founder and current President of Inmediata Health Group Corporation, a third party value-added intermediary in the processing, tracking, analysis and management of healthcare electronic transactions. Inmediata was successful in developing a cost effective platform for aggregation, integration and augmentation of medical billing processes in full compliance with HIPAA requirements.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Mr. López-Marrero holds a degree in Electrical Engineering. Since 1997, he has worked in the healthcare industry, gaining experience in the management of various healthcare information processing systems. Mr. López-Marrero helped established Inmediata Health Group Corporation in 2003, today a successful entity managing more than 4,000,000 healthcare transactions a month and serving close to 40 health plans and over 20,000 healthcare providers in Puerto Rico and the US.
Mr. López-Marrero is also a member of the Puerto Rico’s Chamber of Commerce as well as a member of The United Way of Puerto Rico.
Mr. López-Marrero has been distinguished with the following honors: Intel Corporation Vendor of Choice for 1997 and as Distinguished Partner of the Puerto Rico Medical Billing Association for 2005.
Mr. López-Marrero is actively involved in the development of multiple initiatives related to improving healthcare information management and patient services.
