Biography

Joseph Gonzalez

Joseph currently serves as Vice President of Business Development for Secure EDI, and brings over a decade of veteran industry experience to his position. His duties include B2B alliance management, product design and evolution, and payer development. Prior to entering healthcare, Joseph rose through the ranks of the financial transaction industry working with noted financial institutions, acquirers and related firms on various evolutionary initiatives. These organizations include: Bank of America, Chase Paymentech, First Data, National Processing Company(NPC), NOVA, TSYS, and Verifone. Additionally, Joseph was responsible for developing healthcare vertical strategies and training personnel for Moneris, a joint venture partnership between Royal Bank of Canada and Bank of Montreal’s Chicago based Harris Bank which resulted in cross border enrollment and participation in a state of the art healthcare payment platform by thousands of providers across North America.

Joseph’s role with Secure EDI has him currently engaged as project lead or primary marketing and strategies consultant for initiatives with the nation’s leading companies in the financial and healthcare transaction industry. These include issuing and acquiring banks, healthcare clearinghouses, and technology firms. In addition to his responsibilities at Secure EDI, Joseph has participated in leadership roles with industry driving organizations most recently as Vice Chairman and Trustee of the Board of Directors to the National Dental EDI Council(NDEDIC), Co-Chairman for the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI)’s Real-time Adjudication committee, and workgroups within the Committee for Affordable Quality Healthcare(CAQH)’s CORE initiative.
